The Story of Lost Sol
Lost Sol was born from years of living out of backpacks & suitcases, chasing the sun and exploring the world’s most beautiful beach destinations. Between us we’ve spent years hostelling, road-tripping and backpacking our way through summer. As three expats living in London, travel has always been a driving force in our lives. From the sunny coastlines of Australia to backpacking through Central America and spontaneous weekenders across Europe, travel has shaped what we appreciate most.
And like most travellers, we’ve packed a lot of bad towels. The bulky ones that take up half your bag, the cheap ones that leave fluff everywhere, the ones that never dry in time and the dull, uninspiring ones that are fine for drying off but not something you'd actually want in your photos. We wanted something different. Something lightweight, compact and practical but with a sense of style.
A towel that felt as good as it looked.
That’s how Lost Sol began. A simple idea: to create travel towels designed for those who live for summer. For the city-based adventurers who jump from London, Paris and Berlin to the beaches of the Med. For the ones who chase the sun from Australia to Europe and back again.
We knew from the start that sustainability had to be at the heart of it. Every Lost Sol towel is made from high-quality recycled materials, designed to last, dry quickly and pack down small because the best things in life should be simple. Our designs are inspired by the destinations we love, capturing the mood and magic of the places that stay with you long after you’ve left.
We’re not here to reinvent travel. We’re just here to make it a little more effortless, a little more stylish and a little lighter on the planet.
